Thank you letter

 Hinengawai

St Mary’s School

40 Campion Rd

Gisborne

Dear Tracey,

I am writing to you today to thank you for your kindness and friendliness. You have been an amazing group leader and role model. You have been a blast at camp and a highlight of my day. I could not have got a better group leader or a friend, thank you.

One of the highlights for me was the slingshot paintball and the luge. On the luge you're a great person to talk to and an amazing person to race and beat. I mean you are FAST if there is something I have learnt it is in slingshot paintball, every woman for herself. Just kidding but you're the best!

So thank you Tracey and from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for always being there. I also want to thank you for helping me when the goat hit me and making me feel better thanks.

Dear Frank

I am writing to thank you for being an amazing paintball teacher. I would use your real name but I don't know how to spell it. Thank you so much for teaching us about paintball like what to do if you run out of paintballs and so many other things.

One exciting highlight of mine is playing paintball with you and playing capture the flag you have been really helpful. It would be a pleasure to play paintball with you again. Being in Tui Ridge was one of the best moments of my life and slingshot paintball made it a little bit better.

When I first got there I was really scared and because of you I had so much fun .I'm gonna miss your funny jokes. You have been an amazing teacher and I just wanna say thank you.

Singing scenario

 Singing scenario

When you're just a tiny shy person singing in front of family is a massive deal.

I was only four but I didn't like being near a crowd. My mum on the other hand wanted me to sing for my family.

I was extremely nervous. I didn't want to do it even if I was a billion years old. Until my mum convinced me by telling me she would cheer me on then I felt a little better. Then I started singing and it felt like time stopped.

When I finished I could not believe I did it because when you're just a tiny shy person singing in front of family is a massive deal.

Teeth

Teeth

Giant mountains covered the land as the lime pine trees rustled in the breeze. While the mighty fog spread through the sky. In the distance was a small wooden boat swaying from side to side. And the rippling water was as shiny as a cluster of stars. Tiny fish and huge fish jumped in the moving current. The winding lake curved and swirled.

Lockdown Recount

“We will be heading into lockdown” Stated the Mayor Jacinda Ardern. While worry crossed my mum's face you see my mum is a nurse and the people with covid would go in my mum's ward. Confidently I tried to calm mum waiting to see what lockdown would bring thinking we can do this

Week 1.
Luckily my class practiced what to do in lockdown. “ Bing” went my chrome book as I joined the class meeting. ‘Hi guys I hope you guys are staying safe and washing your hands” stated Miss Hickling. Later after the teacher explained “ok I’ll see you tomorrow bye” ka kite I shouted as I left the meeting.

Week 4.
Dad can I borrow a shirt so I can make a T- shirt bag because it is one of my enviro tasks and then I have to finish my Yucky bug. Later “aahhh” I shouted weary and sleepy as I turn on the tv and watched Netflix.

And that is my recount off some of my lockdown.

Caterpillars are insects, which means they have three body parts head, thorax, and abdomen and two antennae on their heads. Most caterpillars are herbivores, which means they eat plants. Caterpillars eat constantly so that they can grow. Caterpillars grow up and change into butterflies and moths.

Letter about Zealandia

Do you think Zealandia should
be considered a Continent?

Well I do and I wanted to tell you why I think that Zealandia should be considered a continent.

Firstly, it used to be a continent until it was fully submerged from breaking away from Gondwana

Secondly, As the continents began to separate Zealandia started submerging under water over the millions of years. I personally like to think of it as an underwater continent.

Lastly, New Zealand was a part of Zealandia and so was New Caledonia. Zealandia must have been a really big country. And 94% of Zealandia is submerged. But when it was separated from the other continents instead of being ripped apart it just sank

Through this letter I have shared my thoughts on why I think that Zealandia should be considered a continent.
